Hoover Dam

Welcome back to Travel Tuesday! Take a seat and let's take a step into armchair traveling. Another place that I've visited in 2013 was Las Vegas. It was a whirlwind decision in May during our time off and within 12 hours of buying the ticket we had to drive to Bellingham to catch our flight. Impulsive!
But CHEAP since we were travelling mid-week.

We rented a vehicle and drove 45 minutes from Las Vegas to Hoover Dam. We walked across the bridge that was quite windy and then drove down to get a closer view of the dam. We didn't go inside for the guided tour, but I got to see the histroic dam itself from all viewpoints. It was a gorgeous day and we had great views!

Don't forget to stop at the view point of Lake Mead. It's only a 5 minute drive and is worth it. You get to see beautiful scenery. Enjoy!
