Welcome to my last Canadian Topbox.  Even though this is one of the lower end beauty boxes and it's Canadian, eh?  which I love because I want to support other fellow Canadians, it is time for all good things to come to an end.
I've discovered that after a year of beauty subscription boxes, my cosmetics are overflowing and I haven't had time to use all of the beauty products.  I love opening the boxes, but was giving away most of the samples.  Because of this it's my last month for Topbox.
I have to say that after opening November Topbox, I was disappointed with the beauty products and it is time to say Goodbye!

There was brand power with Cover FX and Shu Uemura but it wasn't enough for me.  There were only 4 beauty samples for $13 ($10 + taxes).  If they included a full sized lipstick or mini lipstick that would have made me happy.  Some months are better than others like when I received a Chatelaine magazine.

It's Topbox Time again!  October Topbox is full of name brands such as Elizabeth Arden, Lancome, and BB Kamins.  Initially we thought it was a Murale box because of the Topbox itself, however, that was just an advertisement that Murale products are now readily available at Shoppers Drug Mart.  

October's Topbox featured a variety of skincare products and anti-aging serums to try.  It's a nice change of pace from make up.  Let's take a look inside the October Topbox.

Subscription Boxes: Topbox September Review

Welcome Back Vancity Girlfriends! 
On the weekend we had a fabulous vlog night which means that all of the boxes are open, vlogs are up and now blogs are being written!  So you'll want to return daily this week to get the scoop on our new boxes.
Today we're going to look at Topbox who actually paired up with Chatelaine magazine for their September box!  Very exciting!  The topbox tube was beautifully decorated and inside was a Chatelaine magazine with a double feature.  One side had food, flip it over and the other side had beauty!  I never buy magazines, so this is a wonderful treat.  
One of the reasons that I stayed with Topbox is that they are a Canadian company and that there were some big name brands coming onboard.  The September box really proved that with some high quality name brand for beauty products inside the box.  Let's take a look at what was in Topbox September box.

Subscription Boxes: Topbox August Review

Hello Vancity Girlfriends,

I was sooo excited to finally get Topbox in the mail this month.  I had taken a bit of a hiatus.  But after a Ipsy vs Topbox Battle, I had cancelled Ipsy and ordered Topbox.  Carolyn on the other hand had cancelled Topbox and ordered Ipsy. Alas, we ended up keeping one of each!  

So Topbox arrived in the mail and I was already heading to Carolyn's to babysit so I just popped Topbox in my purse and we had an impromptu vlog day.  Okay, you likely know by now that it takes about 15 minutes to vlog.  So it was a spontaneous vlog moment. 

I love Clinque and was very excited to see that I received what I asked for on my Wishlist.  That was the special Clinque Topbox.  Inside the box I received four Clinique items:

1.  Sample size Dramatically Different NEW moisturizer
2.  Almost Lipstick Black Honey - Full Size (Win!)
3.  Sample size Black Mascara
4.  Sample size eye cream
5.  Empty clinique jar - for sample size foundation at the Clinque counter.

The value of the Almost Lipstick Black Honey ($16) makes August Topbox a real steal!  I can't wait to see what other popular brands September Topbox will bring.

Topbox: Jelly Pong Pong

Dear Vancity Girlfriends,
Here's a Topbox reminder that for the month of August the shipping date has changed to August 20th for the brand names releasing new products.  I have my fingers crossed that the new products are from Clinique!  That's the box I picked on my Wish List.  I'll still have to wait a few weeks to see what arrives at my doorstep.
In the meantime, I've discovered the Topbox Beauty Store that has FREE shipping and their new product released is the Jelly Pong Pong Fairy Lashes Mascara.

Just reading their description makes my eyelashes flutter.

Subscription Boxes: Topbox Review (July) and Jacob's Creek Moscato

Hello Vancity Girlfriends,
Well it's Moscato Monday and I'm happy to let you all know that we tried Jacob's Creek Moscato for our vlog night and LOVED it!  You'll be able to see us hold up the empty bottle of Moscato!  

So, we received our Topbox for July and this was not our favourite Topbox.  We do love the packaging for Topbox and I have a gift giving tip which is to reuse it for giving gifts.  

Of course I get SO excited for vlog nights that I always forget to take enough pictures for the blog!  Watch the vlog to see what we got...it includes nail polish, lip gloss, skin care and hair product!  

Battle of the Beauty Boxes for June - Ipsy Glam Bag and Topbox

Hello Girlfriends,

Yesterday I gave you a preview of the June Ipsy Glam Bag but the question is....who will win the battle of the beauty boxes.  We are looking at the June boxes for Ipsy and Topbox.  Both were sent at the approximately the same time, however, since Topbox is a Canadian company, it arrived in Vancouver before Ipsy did.  That being said, both made it to the beauty box battle on time.
